Accountant - fixed assets (Reno, NV)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Labs and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 20 people based in Reno. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fraud alerts, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with fraud alerts. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
