Accountant - fixed assets (Reno, NV)

Redstone Meridian Inspection Services Group is an inspection company in Reno with field technicians and lab staff, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field inspections, and clear open items. • Track costs around client sites against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Reno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
