Accountant - fixed assets (Reno, NV)

Cedar Vista Learning Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for attendance records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people based in Reno. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with attendance records. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
