Accountant - fixed assets (Reno, NV)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Union Inspection Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
