Accountant - fixed assets (Reno, NV)

Northwind Drift Facilities Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for cleaning schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 548 people based in Reno. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cleaning schedules, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around safety inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Reno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
