Accountant - fixed assets (Reno, NV)

Redstone Nest Manufacturing Group makes precision components in Reno. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
