Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Bright Financial Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 60 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor spend, and clear open items. • Track costs around loan applications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with vendor spend. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
