Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Rivermark Wilder Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Tulsa. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around store inventory against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to promotions, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Tulsa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
