Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Rivermark Junction Housing provides affordable homes and support services around Atlanta. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 76 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around lease compliance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with waiting lists. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Atlanta. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
