Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Umber Inspection Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
