Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Northwind Maple Housing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for maintenance stores, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Housing is our mission and residents are our neighbours. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around repair requests against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with maintenance stores. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Tulsa. • We reply to every applicant.
