Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Ironwood Sparrow Health runs clinics and patient services around Boston. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient scheduling, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Boston. • We reply to every applicant.
