Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Harborlight Sparrow Arts Center is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for exhibitions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around volunteer programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with exhibitions. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Spokane. • We reply to every applicant.
