Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Ironwood Ivory Energy is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for outage response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
