Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Bluepeak Forge Care Services provides in-home and community support in New Orleans. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around client records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to visit scheduling, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with visit scheduling. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
