Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Amberfield Oak Foods Group is a Honolulu food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around customer specifications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to sanitation schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with sanitation schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
