Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Clearpath Cedar Hospitality Group is a hospitality company in Savannah with restaurants, rooms and catering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 14 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around supplier orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with housekeeping schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Savannah. • We reply to every applicant.
