Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Cedar Ember Financial Group is a financial-services company in Fresno, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 34 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around loan applications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with account servicing. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
