Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Rivermark Wren Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Knoxville focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with service installations. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
