Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Ivory Energy and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing disputes, and clear open items. • Track costs around service connections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
