Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Lumen Keystone Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Indianapolis, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
