Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Foxglove Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Louisville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to ingredient orders, and clear open items. • Track costs around production batches against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with ingredient orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
