Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Ironwood Pike Staffing Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for candidate screening, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around retention against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to candidate screening, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with candidate screening. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
