Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Redstone Vista Staffing is a El Paso staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to timekeeping, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with timekeeping. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
