Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Clearpath Wren Energy is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for billing disputes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing disputes, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around usage data against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
