Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Northwind Hollow Energy Group delivers power and gas plans across the Tampa region, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to hardship programmes, and clear open items. • Track costs around billing disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Tampa. • We reply to every applicant.
