Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Highbridge Umber Hospitality is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for group events, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We work weekends and holidays and we make it fun. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around reviews and feedback against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to group events, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Tampa. • We reply to every applicant.
