Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Redstone Drift Freight and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 136 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to dock schedules, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around proof of delivery against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Cincinnati. • We reply to every applicant.
