Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Amberfield Birch Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for customer tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tickets, and clear open items. • Track costs around network equipment against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
