Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Northwind Wilder Medical is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for training materials, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around production lots against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with training materials. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
