Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Highbridge Works is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for rent collection, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around lease renewals against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to rent collection, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with rent collection. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
