Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Foxglove Harbor Environmental Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for weigh tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to weigh tickets, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around recycling loads against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with weigh tickets.
