Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Lakeside Telecom and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 157 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tickets, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
