Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Silverline Rowan Freight Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to dock schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
