Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Greenridge Sable Community Partners is a nonprofit in Albuquerque supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 769 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to donor records, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with donor records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Albuquerque. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
