Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Foods and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 891 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around payment disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with account servicing. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
