Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Amberfield Corner Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Salt Lake City region, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around change orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to materials orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with materials orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
