Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Bluepeak Wren Foods Group makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Fresno. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 846 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around allergen controls against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
