Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Lumen Beacon Learning Group is an education provider in Fort Worth serving students and families, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Families are partners. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around attendance records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to learning materials, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Fort Worth. • We reply to every applicant.
