Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Rivermark Fern Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Hartford, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 15 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with clinic supplies. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
