Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Foxglove Lantern Medical designs and makes medical devices in Pittsburgh, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical evaluations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
