Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Lumen Rook Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Knoxville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor spend, and clear open items. • Track costs around regulatory reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with vendor spend. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
