Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Northwind Sable Property Management looks after rental homes across the Fort Worth area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around resident events against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to maintenance requests, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with maintenance requests. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Fort Worth. • We reply to every applicant.
