Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Redstone Hollow Environmental Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service complaints, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Little Rock. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
