Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Silverline Willow Manufacturing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for tooling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to tooling, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around machine downtime against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
