Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Redstone Willow Early Learning runs childcare centres in Tucson caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 971 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to classroom supplies, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with classroom supplies. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
