Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Rivermark Wren Freight is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to dock schedules, and clear open items. • Track costs around proof of delivery against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Omaha. • We reply to every applicant.
