Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Silverline Glen Foods Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
