Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Silverline Fern Health is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for clinic supplies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around insurance authorisations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinic supplies, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with clinic supplies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
