Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Clearpath Basin Legal Group is a law firm in New Orleans serving businesses and individuals. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around document review against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to intake forms, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with intake forms. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
